Behind The Bottle

The second bourbon drop of the year of course would be coming from one of the largest and most known distillery out of Kentucky. When people say bourbon, it’s hard not to talk about Buffalo Trace. Lord knows it’s in a lot of bar’s wells and a lot of home bar’s wells. When we talk a classic 45% ABV bourbon, meant for the day-to-day sipper, it’s hard not to talk about Buffalo Trace being the classic Kentucky standard.

Our pick comes from a place of seeking after the unoffensive. When people think smoof, easy to drink, yet tasty– this pick is what we believe Buffalo Trace is. We’ve side-by-side this with the regular Buffalo Trace you see on everyone’s shelf and this pick really has less oak. As mentioned before, we were seeking the barrel who had that easy drinking profile. It was a bonus that it had a wildly fruity nose (which for the team, is a plus).

If you are looking to introduce someone into bourbon or need something for the well, this Buffalo Trace fits that bill. One of the smooofest bourbons out there.
