We are just over a month away from the GlenDronach tastings! This is perfect timing as hoodie season is already rolling in fast. Mentioned in the last blog, we will be presenting 2 tiers of the tasting. Day 1 features a masterclass with Rory over GlenDronach’s delicious core expressions. Day 2 will highlight bottles that are all old enough to drink themselves. Plus, the oldest GlenDronach ever to be put in a glass- The GlenDronach 56 Year. MONTHLY CLOSURE
Reminder- we are closed the first Monday of every month. So this month, it’s Monday the 7th. Our Google listing will reflect as such.
RAFFLE RAFFLE
If you’ve swung into the shop, you’ve seen the QR code by the front counter. It is indeed raffle time! The raffle ends after closing on September 15th, with winners being pulled and contacted on the 16th. As always, if you are out of town and cannot come in to scan the QR code, please email Chris @ chrisf@allocatedak.com. Some items in the raffle: Michter’s 10 Year Bourbon, Russell’s Reserve 13 Year, Wild Turkey 16 Year, Rittenhouse 10 Year and more!
Note: there’s two bottles not listed in the raffle, as we received them late. Thus, we will be entering everyone who enters the raffle into a drawing for the two respective bottles: Maker’s Mark Star Hill Farm & Blood Oath Pact #12.
HIRSCH GIVEAWAY
You might’ve spotted the custom Hirsch skis in Allocated—now they could be yours!
We’ve teamed up with Hirsch to give them away just in time for ski season. From August 1st through November 7th, 2026, every bottle of Hirsch you purchase earns you an entry to take those baddies home.
KY UPDATE
The bois are back in town! So many stories to tell and so many delicious picks to release. As always, we revolve our trip around Heaven Hill and let’s just say we ended up doing 2 expressions of ECBP this go around because it was that good in what we wanted profile-wise for Gen #3. Won’t bore you with the details, but let’s just say we may have to raffle the entire Old Forester pick, because good lord, it was that good.
All stories will be published when the respective bottles are released, but we did picks for all different palates. We can’t wait to get it on your palate and into your home bars. Scroll down to see the new incoming barrel pick updates!
BACKDOOR BROOKIE
You may have seen a Brook Hill rolling around town called the Backdoor Brookie. This was an ALCTD select done at a private RC dinner that wasn’t published to the public. Nevertheless, contact us if you’re interested in a bottle. We are looking to fulfill our attendees’ preorder first before releasing it for general sale. However, thank goodness it wasn’t a short yield and we will most likely be able to fulfill all requests.
