For those of you who’ve had our past expressions before, know that this one is not an alcoholic Reese’s PB Cup, rather, this expression showcases a darker side of the general sweet profile we’ve been seeking for.

We are always trying to have a bit of everything available when it comes to our selects, and this expression fills in the gap for those looking for the lower rye profile. With Ezra Brooks Distiller’s Collection and Full Proof expressions being discontinued for private barrels, our hand was forced to move on to an Old Ezra expression. More age? Who’s complaining? That does mean that the juice will pick more of the American oak, hence the dark chocolate and heavy oak notes in our collective tasting notes.

The biggest surprise of all of this is- when this pick landed in ANC and we were ready to take it from our distributors, we were told the entire yield was 16 cases (6 packs). We did a double take. 96 bottles?? AND they even cut it (albeit not much) down to 117 proof? The angels really must’ve loved this one. To put this in perspective, a full American Standard Barrel would produce 266 bottles, this is nearly a third of that. Sheesh!
