The 907 Antique
The 907 Antique
ALCTD’s first ever wheater is here!!! There’s nothing more appropriate than naming our first wheated bourbon; The 907 Antique. If you know wheaters, you know what that’s a shot at ;)
We’ve had the idea to call the first wheater we’d release that for a while. We are so happy our relationship with the largest family owned bourbon producer (Heaven Hill) is what it is. The Larceny Private Barrel Program was just launched in 2024 and with that, we were the first to be blessed with samples. There were two options for the market, and if you judged a bourbon by it’s color or proof—you’d go for the other release in the market. But time and time again, we talk about blinds and not giving a F about stats. What tastes good to you?
When we sampled the Larceny for the first time, it was exactly what we wanted in a wheater. The wheat grain is a bit smoother than rye. As Heaven Hill states on their Larceny boxes; “More Wheat. Smoother Sips™.” This pick is the epitome of sweet and spicy...absolute slapper.
This is probably our most anticipated pick for this year, and it is not letting down. The letdown, however, is that the barrel yielded half of what a full barrel should’ve yielded...damn those angels. This will really be a one bottle per customer at release. So grab it and savor it slowly. A shorty but a goodie!
