BEHIND THE BOTTLE
Of course ALCTD’s first bourbon of 2026 is again a Larceny select! This marks the second wheated bourbon from the outfit and the second installment of the shots at Sazerac series.
First, to make this clear, this is not the pick that was done during the ALCTD annual Kentucky trip, rather this was picked prior to that. Absolutely hilarious that this is coming from the famed Deatsville warehouse. This will be relevant when you read the story behind the incoming Elijah Craig and Larceny pick during the annual KY trip.
From the regional director of Heaven Hill himself, “the ghost of Parker Beam must be guiding the ouija board when you guys select casks.” This is in reference to the Deatsville warehouse, where it was indeed known to be one of Parker’s absolute favorite rickhouses. With its uninsulated design and open-air structure, built like a church, it’s undeniably in the taste of the whiskey.
Coined the D.Y.P.B., this acronym absolutely stands for Drink Your Perfect Bourbon. Reiterating ALCTD’s ethos of drink whatever whiskey and however you like. Everyone has an opinion, a bias, a preference and even an agenda these days, and with this expression ALCTD really wanted to state just that. In a world of bangin’ wheated whiskies and people chasing high proof, this expression shows nuance. Entertain it for yourselves and see what a true Larceny single cask should taste like. If you were lucky enough to snag a bottle of ALCTD’s The 907 Antique, the team believes this one is even better ;)
