Behind The Bottle

Good lord does the Deatsville warehouse strike again.

This is the third installment of our Shots at Sazerac series- and admittedly, this is the absolute best Larceny barrel ALCTD has ever done. It showcases the quintessential Nutter Butter profile and sweet wheat cereal better than anything they've tasted.

Chosen during the annual 2025 ALCTD Kentucky trip, the team headed into the warehouse with one goal: hunt down that ultra-silky Nutter Butter profile for the next Larceny pick. Six barrels later, "the one" was chosen. Hilariously enough, it wasn't until after the decision was made that they realized they had picked the only barrel in the lineup aged at Deatsville. There really must be something about Ylli and Long’s palates that instinctively gravitates toward that specific warehouse.

Even wilder? This barrel comes from the exact same distillation run, and the exact same floor, as our previous Larceny pick. It’s just older, and goodness me, does the extra age show up in this expression.

This is their lowest yield ever from a major Kentucky house. Collect the rainbow.
